Calls, Commands & Clarity.

This update fixes major call system issues, redesigns settings for better usability, brings TavBot back online, and adds slash commands for quicker actions.

📞 Call System Fixes

We rebuilt major parts of the calling system to fix critical bugs.

  • DM calls now ring the recipient properly

    • Previously, calls were placed but never alerted the other person

  • Call overlay now appears correctly for DM calls

    • No more stuck minimized overlays

  • Voice channel participants now visible immediately

    • Previously only appeared after full connection

  • Voice channels in servers now work properly

    • Join, leave, and participate without issues

  • Added call logs in DMs and group chats

    • See incoming call history even if you missed them

🎵 New Sounds

  • Added DM notification sound
  • Added mention notification sound
  • Added call join sound
  • Added call end sound
  • Added outgoing call sound

⚙️ Settings Redesign

Complete layout overhaul inspired by iOS/macOS System Settings.

  • New SettingsGroup component - clean bordered cards for each section
  • New SettingsRow layout - label on left, control on right
  • New SettingsGroupHeader - small, uppercase, muted section headers
  • Consistent toggle styles across all notification settings
  • Overall cleaner, more organized, easier to navigate

🤖 TavBot is Back

  • TavBot now responds to commands again

    • May take longer if the queue is backed up, but it works

  • Commands are being processed and executed properly

💬 Message & Command Improvements

  • Added /command handler to the message bar

    • Type / to see available slash commands

  • Added /gallery command

    • Quickly attach files from your media library without browsing

  • Fixed message replies appearing backwards

    • Replies now show in the correct direction - the message you’re replying to appears in the quote, not your own message

👤 User Presence Fixed

  • User statuses now display accurately

    • No more showing “online” when someone is offline
    • Manual status changes (idle, DND, etc.) now reflect properly
    • Real-time presence updates work as expected

🔧 Technical Improvements

  • Fixed rate limiting being too aggressive

    • You won’t get blocked for normal usage anymore

  • Improved language and clarity throughout the app

    • Removed redundant and confusing wording
    • Thanks to user feedback for pointing out tautological phrases

  • Added method to access voice channel full screen mode

    • Previously was difficult to find or activate
