TavKit: Build on Tavrn
That’s why we’re building TavKit, our official developer toolkit for building bots, automations, and integrations on Tavrn.
What is TavKit?
TavKit is everything a developer needs to build on top of Tavrn. It’s not one thing - it’s a full suite of tools designed to give developers deep, reliable access to the Tavrn platform.
Three core pillars:
🤖 Bot Framework
Build powerful, responsive bots for Tavrn servers. Handle commands, automate moderation, respond to events, manage members, and create experiences your community actually wants. If you’ve built bots for other platforms before, TavKit’s bot framework will feel familiar - but cleaner.
🔐 Sign In with Tavrn (SIT SDK)
Let users authenticate with their Tavrn accounts on your own apps and platforms. The SIT SDK makes it straightforward to integrate Tavrn login into external applications, giving your users one less password to remember and giving you a trusted, privacy-respecting authentication layer.
⚙️ Permission & Automation Management
Programmatic control over server permissions, roles, and automation workflows. Build tools that manage your server at scale - no manual clicking required. Whether you’re running a large community or building a SaaS product on top of Tavrn, the permission system gives you the control you need.
Who is TavKit for?
Developers building bots If you want to build moderation bots, utility bots, game integrations, or anything in between, TavKit gives you the framework to do it properly. Well-documented, well-structured, and built to be reliable.
Server owners who want automation You shouldn’t need to be a developer to benefit from TavKit. Power users will be able to use TavKit-powered tools built by the community to automate the parts of server management that eat up your time.
App developers integrating with Tavrn Building something external that needs Tavrn integration? The SIT SDK lets you build Sign In with Tavrn into your own products - giving your users a seamless, privacy-first login experience backed by Tavrn’s authentication infrastructure.
Why Are We Building This?
Tavrn is more useful when developers can extend it.
The best features on competing platforms aren’t built by the platforms themselves - they’re built by developers who saw a gap and filled it. We want to give those developers a proper foundation to build on. Not a hacked-together API with no documentation and no support, but a real, well-designed toolkit that respects developers’ time.
And honestly? The more developers build on Tavrn, the better Tavrn gets for everyone.
What to Expect
TavKit is in active development alongside Tavrn itself.
We’re building it the same way we build everything else: carefully, transparently, and with a focus on getting it right rather than getting it out fast.
When TavKit launches, everything will be accessible through the TavKit Developer Portal at:
tavrn.top/tavkit/portal
The portal will be your home for documentation, API keys, bot management, SDK downloads, and everything else you need to build on Tavrn.
The Developer Experience Matters
We’ve thought a lot about what a great developer experience looks like.
- Clear, comprehensive documentation - you shouldn’t have to guess how anything works
- Consistent, predictable APIs - no weird edge cases or undocumented behavior
- Proper versioning - we won’t break your integrations without warning
- Developer support - real answers to real questions
- Sandbox environment - test your builds without affecting real servers
Building on a platform should feel empowering, not frustrating. That’s the standard we’re holding TavKit to.
Coming Soon
TavKit isn’t available yet. But it’s coming, and when it does it’ll be worth the wait.
If you’re a developer interested in building on Tavrn, keep an eye on:
- This blog for updates and announcements
- The Commons - our official community server
- tavrn.top/tavkit/portal - the developer portal (coming soon)
We’ll be sharing more details about TavKit as development progresses, including early access opportunities for developers who want to get in early.
